Fundraising Volunteers
Role Overview
Fundraising Volunteers help ASHA raise the funds needed to support our programs and events. You will assist the Fundraising team led by our VPF - Fundraising & Revenue to run fundraising initiatives such as donation drives, community campaigns, or any other possible fundraisers run by our VPF-FR.
Skills & Qualities
Volunteers should be enthusiastic in their tone of speech with clear and creative communication. Fundraising volunteers should display adequacy with working along others.
Commitment
Participation is flexible. You will be part of ASHA's fundraising volunteer group and notified whenever opportunities arise. Attendance is not required for every single fundraiser - volunteers can sign up based on their availability. However, we strongly encourage consistency and active participation
Companionship Program Volunteers
Role Overview
The Companionship Program connects volunteers with seniors in long-term care and retirement communities through our partnerships with local senior homes. The goal is to reduce social isolation and support overall well-being by providing meaningful conversation, emotional support, and engaging activities.
Skills & Qualities
Volunteers apart of this program should display qualities in kindness, patience, and empathy. Showing professionalism and respect for confidentiality and sensitivity of diverse backgrounds. Be a good listener and conversationalist, be a reliable shoulder to lean on.
Commitment
Regular weekly or bi-weekly commitment. Expect more hours for this program, as it is one of our main projects, and we would like to see it through. Please note that compared types of volunteers, when you sign up for this program, you agree to the times and commitment that come with it.
